According to data released by the Macau SAR Government's Statistics and Census Bureau on the 8th, the total non gambling consumption of tourists in Macau reached 24.43 billion Macau dollars (MOP) in the first quarter of 2026, a year-on-year increase of 24.5%. Data shows that in the first quarter of 2026, the per capita non gambling consumption of tourists in Macau increased by 9.5% year-on-year to 2179 yuan, with the per capita non gambling consumption of overnight and non overnight tourists increasing by 7.7% and 40.6% respectively. In terms of consumption categories, tourists coming to Australia mainly spend on shopping (48.2%), followed by accommodation (21.1%) and dining (21.0%). According to the statistics of the main source of customers, compared with the same period last year, the per capita non gambling consumption of tourists from mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan recorded an increase of 4.1%, 37.4% and 8.9%, reaching 2392 yuan, 1203 yuan and 2004 yuan respectively.
