On the occasion of the 2026 China Africa Cultural Exchange Year, the "Chinese Culture Enters Campus" event hosted by the Confucius Classroom of the South African Chinese Culture and International Education Exchange Center at Shanghai Sanda University was successfully held on the 4th at Pinnacle College Raslouw in South Africa. The theme of the event is "Ink Fragrance Dancing Shadow · Rhyme Dyeing Campus", presenting excellent traditional Chinese culture in various forms, bringing a vivid and infectious Chinese cultural experience to teachers and students. The activities were held at the morning meetings of the high school and primary school departments of the school, with a compact and orderly arrangement of content, organically integrating artistic performances with cultural explanations. In the special lecture session, Dai Wenhong, the Chinese director of Confucius Classroom, systematically introduced the important role of Chinese learning in educational development, career planning, and cross-cultural communication around the theme of "Learning Chinese: Connecting the Future". He also emphasized the Chinese government scholarship program and opportunities for studying and exchanging in China. The interactive Q&A session was lively and students actively participated. In the Chinese dance performance segment, Teacher Zhao Lin's classical water sleeve dance "Jinghong One Side" features fluttering clothes and graceful movements, showcasing a soft and graceful charm between stretching and releasing. Through the transition between movement and stillness, it outlines the unique artistic conception and charm of Eastern aesthetics, winning rounds of applause from the audience. Subsequently, Teacher Yang Yu, with the theme of "One stroke, one world, the beauty of Chinese characters", wrote the Chinese name of the school "Peak Academy" on site, showcasing the unique line art and cultural connotation of Chinese calligraphy through the flow of ink and brush. In addition, the event specially set up a Chinese traditional culture experience section. Under the guidance of Confucius Classroom teachers, students took the stage one by one to try the game of throwing pots, experiencing the unique charm of ancient Chinese etiquette and competitive culture in a relaxed and fun interaction. The continuous cheers and lively atmosphere on site further enhanced students' intuitive understanding and sense of participation in traditional Chinese culture. At the end of the event, the Confucius Classroom team took a group photo with the teachers and students present, marking a successful conclusion to the exchange activity. As a newly established Chinese teaching point, the "Chinese Culture into Campus" activity not only effectively stimulated students' interest in learning Chinese, but also deepened the understanding and recognition of Chinese culture among South African youth, further promoting cultural exchanges and friendly interactions between China and South Africa. At the same time, the activities injected new vitality into campus culture and expanded students' international perspectives. (Looking into the New Era)
