The "China Europe Global Governance and Civilization Exchange and Mutual Learning Dialogue" jointly hosted by the Contemporary China and World Studies Institute and the Schiller Institute of Germany was recently held in Berlin, Germany. Representatives from Chinese and European government departments, think tanks, universities, media, and business circles conducted in-depth exchanges on the theme of "Consensus in Changing Times: Global Governance and Civilization Exchange and Mutual Learning between China and Europe". Helga Zep Larush, founder and chairman of the Schiller Institute in Germany, believes that the four major global initiatives proposed by China, especially the Global Governance Initiative, provide specific solutions for global governance reform. If Europe does not want to miss out on future oriented technologies and corresponding market share in the global market, it should cooperate with China in fields such as artificial intelligence, 6G, quantum computing, nuclear fusion, biotechnology, and humanoid robots, as China has development advantages in these areas. ”Larush said. Former mayor of Berlin, Michael M ü ller, stated that Germany and China have established over 100 friendly province state (city) relations, which have played an important role in promoting the development of bilateral relations. In the future, the two countries need more opportunities and platforms for dialogue, further strengthening mutual learning, exchange and cooperation in education, management, rule of law, technology and other fields, and continuously deepening the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries. Both Germany and China are important participants in global affairs, and enhancing mutual understanding is not only beneficial for both sides, but also contributes to world peace and stability. ”German sinologist and professor at the University of Bonn, Peigaard, stated that Europe needs to abandon its bias and stereotypes towards China, maintain openness and curiosity, and promote mutual understanding and common development through equal communication. The key industries for development between China and Germany are highly compatible, and there is enormous potential for cooperation between the two sides. Gao Anming, the editor in chief of the China Foreign Languages Administration, stated that China and Europe have always maintained close communication and exchanges, and have achieved positive and pragmatic results, injecting valuable stability and positive energy into the turbulent and intertwined world.
