Clinical validation is a key link in the transition from laboratory to application, and it has become a consensus among brain computer interface developers. Most companies are in the early stages of research and development and animal experiment verification. Yang Xun stated that taking the current focus of many brain computer interface technology companies on motor function rehabilitation, visual function rehabilitation, cognitive function rehabilitation, etc. as examples, the ability to obtain animal experiments for verification to some extent demonstrates the team's technical strength in neural signal decoding, but it does not mean that the data and algorithms from these animal experiments can be applied to humans, and further experimental verification is needed. Whether brain computer interface technology can be applied depends on the understanding of the human nervous system. Especially in terms of cognition, which is a human exclusive advanced function, animal experiments can only prove the safety of the product, and it is difficult to prove its effectiveness. Yang Xun stated that the brain computer interface project's transition from the laboratory concept validation stage to widespread application is a process that requires long-term effort and high-level research. Therefore, conducting clinical trials on humans as soon as possible plays a crucial role in the maturity of brain computer interface products. In the clinical treatment of related diseases, it also depends on the causes of the disease and the patient's physical tolerance. Enterprises need to cooperate with medical institutions in the research and development stage to promote the integration of engineering technology and clinical practice, in order to promote the rapid and healthy development of the brain computer interface industry. Yang Xun said that the current cooperative development ecology in China is taking shape, and many top hospitals are helping the industry development through medical translation centers and other institutions.
