Surrounded by mountains and crisscrossing streams, the water temperature remains stable at around 15 degrees Celsius throughout the year, providing natural and high-quality conditions for ecological aquaculture. Previously, although the village had abundant water resources, due to a lack of planning, outdated technology, and decentralized management, aquaculture had never been able to scale up, which affected the development of collective economy and the increase in villagers' income. To get rich, we must activate water resources and develop ecological aquaculture. ”The military sub district assistance working group has conducted on-site investigations, market research, and repeated discussions with the village committee to determine the idea of "ecological priority, scale development, and brand leadership". Aquaculture is regarded as the main means of strengthening the village collective economy, actively coordinating funds, improving infrastructure such as fish ponds, water circuits, and introducing ecological aquaculture technology to lay a solid foundation for industrial development. To solve the problem of low profitability and high risk in individual farming, they guided Yutang Village to establish a cooperative and innovate the development model of "village collective+cooperative+farmers". The idle ponds and rice fields in the whole village were centralized and integrated, and ecological farming areas, fish fry cultivation areas, and leisure fishing areas were divided to achieve centralized farming and unified management. Coordinate well-known aquaculture enterprises in Yuping County to sign a cooperation agreement with Yutang Village, establishing an integrated industrial chain of "seedling supply breeding sales", which not only ensures the quality of fish seedlings but also expands product sales. In the past, raising fish in our own small pond relied solely on experience and could not fetch a high price. Nowadays, with the assistance of the military sub district, Yutang Village has built a nearly 100 acre ecological breeding base through models such as "fish grass symbiosis" and "rice fish rotation", producing characteristic species such as grass carp, carp, and Wuyang River catfish, which are popular among consumers.
