At present, the number of silver haired internet users in China has reached 161 million. The demand for the internet among the elderly has already surpassed the superficial convenience of "enlarging fonts", and there is an urgent need for a solid network security protection net. In reality, although some apps have launched the "elder mode", marketing pop ups are still frequent and inducing downloads occur, with low-quality content flooding in. Nowadays, the transformation of network aging adaptation is shifting from "whether it exists" to "whether it is good or not", and the focus will inevitably shift from simple interface optimization to more core security guarantees. The core difficulty of network aging adaptation lies in the structural gap between convenience and security. Enlarge the font, simplify the interface, with minimal investment and quick results, able to quickly meet the basic usage needs of elderly users; Improving security protection and identifying risks and hidden dangers not only require higher technological investment, but it is also difficult to see results in the short term. More importantly, some platforms adhere to the business model of "traffic first", which naturally conflicts with the aging needs of reducing advertising interference and strengthening risk control - this makes some platforms more inclined to do "visible" interface optimization, but deliberately ignore "invisible" security guarantees. The primary measure to promote the quality and efficiency improvement of aging friendly renovation is to fully incorporate "safety and friendliness" into the evaluation system. Currently, network aging certification mostly focuses on surface indicators such as interface simplification and font enlargement, with insufficient attention to security dimensions such as advertising control, risk warning, and content review, resulting in some platforms prioritizing form over security. Only by explicitly incorporating specific safety indicators such as induced advertising control, risk warning mechanism completeness, and content review capability into the evaluation system, and giving equal weight to "whether it is safe" and "whether it is easy to use", can we make efforts from the evaluation end, force the platform to actively improve its safety service level, and truly meet the needs of elderly users for aging friendly transformation. To solidify the main responsibility of the platform, it is necessary to make the "safety breach" pay the due price. Currently, there are very few cases where platforms are held responsible for fraud induction and chaotic content under the "elder model", and the cost of violations is much lower than the cost of governance. According to reports, the fraudulent account of a certain "AI boss" has survived on the platform for several months and gained hundreds of thousands of followers, but has not been promptly taken down for disposal, which is a typical manifestation of the lack of platform supervision. We need to further clarify the security responsibility boundaries of platforms in aging friendly services, establish and improve accountability mechanisms, and hold platforms accountable for fraud and misleading consumption of elderly users due to inadequate supervision and laissez faire behavior in accordance with the law. To achieve long-term aging friendly governance, it is even more necessary to integrate "safety adaptation" into the platform's business logic. Some platforms overly rely on advertising and traffic monetization, reducing advertising interference and strengthening security control in the "elder model", which means that short-term profits will be affected. But in the long run, relying on high-quality and safe services to win the trust of elderly users and cultivate a stable user base is more sustainable than relying on induced clicks and false marketing. Relevant departments can guide platforms to explore healthier profit models by regulating advertising forms and restricting misleading marketing behaviors, promoting platforms to find a balance between protecting the rights and interests of elderly users and achieving their own development, and making safety adaptation an inherent driving force for the sustainable development of platforms.
