Liu Dong, Deputy Director of the Comprehensive Planning Department of the Ministry of Transport, introduced that in the first quarter, 174 major transportation engineering projects were newly started, with an additional investment of about 16 billion yuan. Major transportation projects with investment scales exceeding 20 billion yuan, such as Jiangsu Sutong Second Cross River Passage, Sichuan Nanjiang to Santai Expressway, and Gansu S35 Jingtai to Lixian Expressway, have started construction. Major transportation projects have high individual investment, significant social impact, and strong driving force, which play an important role in driving economic development.
