The duty-free shopping policy for Hainan's outlying islands has been implemented for 15 years since April 20, 2011. According to data released by Haikou Customs, in the past 15 years, the customs have supervised a total of 286.4 billion yuan in duty-free shopping on Hainan's outlying islands, with 347 million items purchased and 50.8667 million shoppers.
