China General Nuclear Power Corporation (CGN), headquartered in Shenzhen, announced on the 20th that the first "Hualong One" nuclear power unit in the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area, Unit 1 of CGN Guangdong Taipingling Nuclear Power Project, has been put into operation and is officially ready for commercial operation. It is expected to generate over 9 billion kilowatt hours of electricity annually. Unit 1 of the project has completed all performance tests and 168 hours of full power continuous operation assessment. Currently, all parameters are normal and stable, and the unit is in good condition. ”Zhang Guoqiang, Chairman of CGN Huizhou Nuclear Power Co., Ltd., introduced that the construction of Unit 1 has fully absorbed the experience of previous projects, completed 26 major design improvements, and received more than 8300 experience feedbacks. The first unit put into operation this time has achieved multiple key technological breakthroughs through independent innovation. For the first time, the unit has applied the HL-T67 steam generator and SH-N non safety level DCS platform independently designed by CGN, and the main steam isolation valve has also been domestically produced, taking a solid step towards the comprehensive localization of key equipment. At the same time, the "anti-corrosion coating" is applied to the pipeline through the primary zinc injection passivation technology, effectively suppressing corrosion and extending equipment life; The decoupling operation of the primary and secondary sides allows the first and second circuits of the nuclear power plant to be started separately, greatly improving maintenance efficiency. In addition, the project also launched the Digital Handover 3.0 platform for the first time, which uses a three-dimensional power plant model as a carrier to connect the entire design, procurement, construction, and commissioning chain, forming an integrated data asset, realizing the synchronous construction and handover of physical power plants and "digital power plants", and empowering nuclear power management with technological innovation. It is reported that the Taipingling Nuclear Power Project plans to construct six "Hualong One" nuclear power units in three phases. After completion, it is expected that the annual power generation will exceed 55 billion kilowatt hours, which can effectively reduce the consumption of standard coal by about 16.65 million tons and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about 50.82 million tons per year. With the commissioning of Unit 1 of the Taipingling Nuclear Power Project, CGN has 29 operational nuclear power units with an installed capacity of 33.04 million kilowatts; 19 nuclear power units are under construction with an installed capacity of 23.2 million kilowatts.
