According to the news released by CGN, the first "Hualong One" nuclear power unit in the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area, Unit 1 of the Taipingling Nuclear Power Project, was put into operation on the 20th and officially meets commercial operating conditions. It is expected to generate over 9 billion kilowatt hours of electricity annually, which can meet the annual production and living electricity needs of millions of residents in the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area. The first unit of the Taipingling Nuclear Power Project has completed all performance tests and 168 hours of full power continuous operation assessment. Currently, all parameters are normal and stable, and the unit is in good condition. ”Zhang Guoqiang, Chairman of CGN Huizhou Nuclear Power Co., Ltd., introduced that the construction of Unit 1 has fully absorbed the experience of previous projects, completed 26 major design improvements, and received more than 8300 experience feedbacks. It is reported that Unit 1, which was put into operation this time, has for the first time applied the HL-T67 steam generator and SH-N non safety level DCS platform independently designed by CGN. The main steam isolation valve has also been localized, which helps to fully automate key equipment. In addition, the project also launched the Digital Handover 3.0 platform for the first time, which uses a three-dimensional power plant model as a carrier to connect the entire design, procurement, construction, and commissioning chain, forming an integrated data asset, realizing the synchronous construction and handover of physical power plants and "digital power plants", and empowering nuclear power management with technological innovation. It is reported that the Taipingling Nuclear Power Project plans to construct six "Hualong One" nuclear power units in three phases. After all six units are completed, it is expected that the annual power generation will exceed 55 billion kilowatt hours, which can effectively reduce the consumption of standard coal by about 16.65 million tons and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about 50.82 million tons per year, helping Guangdong's energy green transformation and ensuring the achievement of the "dual carbon" goal.
