AST78 high-speed anti drone system. According to foreign media reports, a French defense company recently announced that it has delivered the first batch of AST78 high-speed anti drone systems to the French military. This high-speed anti drone system has excellent maneuverability and diverse deployment capabilities, capable of intercepting mid to high altitude high-speed drones, effectively enhancing the French military's air defense capabilities in dealing with complex aerial threats. The AST78 high-speed anti drone system is a high-speed unmanned platform designed specifically for aerial interception missions, with a maximum speed of 400 kilometers per hour, a combat radius of 30 kilometers, and a payload of 1 kilogram. The system has outstanding climbing performance and can reach an altitude of 6000 meters within 3 minutes after ground launch. In addition to ground launch, the system can also be deployed in the air by helicopters or fixed wing aircraft to approach targets faster and greatly expand combat flexibility. At present, the AST78 high-speed anti drone system has completed thousands of hours of extreme environment flight tests and conducted dozens of aerial deployment tests. Compared to expensive surface to air missiles, this system provides a more cost-effective option, especially for threats posed by medium to large reconnaissance drones. After the French military receives the system, it is expected to improve the low efficiency or high cost of traditional air defense systems. (New Society)
