The 9th China International Import Expo (CIIE) Symposium was held in Madrid, Spain on the 15th, with representatives from more than 10 Spanish trade promotion agencies, business associations, and enterprises attending and exchanging ideas. Marta Ram ó n, Director of Strategic Cooperation at the Spanish Foreign Trade Development and Investment Agency, said that the Chinese market is huge in scale and has ample potential, and Spain attaches great importance to the Chinese market. The CIIE provides an important platform and efficient channel for Spanish companies to showcase high-quality products, technologies, and services, as well as expand cooperation with China. Spain will actively promote more enterprises to participate in the CIIE and share development opportunities. Chang Hexi, Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy in Spain, stated in his speech that since the first CIIE was held in 2018, the CIIE has played an important role in promoting trade exchanges between China and countries around the world, and is an important bridge for promoting multilateral and bilateral economic and trade cooperation. China has been actively promoting the entry of high-quality Spanish products into the Chinese market, and local enterprises have a strong willingness to export to China. Through communication and discussion, we believe that Spanish institutions and enterprises can fully understand the CIIE and use the CIIE platform to find suitable partners to expand exports to China. Hua Wei, President of the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., said that Spain has significant advantages in agricultural and food products, wine, olive oil, consumer goods, and high-end manufacturing, which are highly in line with the demand of the Chinese market.
