The 15th is the 11th National Security Education Day for all citizens. The series of national security education activities jointly organized by the Macao SAR government and the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in Macau opened on the same day at the China Portuguese speaking Countries Business Cooperation Service Platform Complex. The opening ceremony was presided over by Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Edmund Ho wah, Chief Executive of the Macau Special Administrative Region, Cen Haohui, Director of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in Macau, Zheng Xincong, Commissioner of the Office of the Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Macau, Bian Lixin, and Commander of the People's Liberation Army in Macau, Chen Wensheng. Cen Haohui stated in his speech that safeguarding national sovereignty, security, and development interests is the highest principle of the "One Country, Two Systems" policy, a solid cornerstone of the economic and social development of the Macao Special Administrative Region, and is related to the fundamental interests of the Macao Special Administrative Region and the vital interests of Macao compatriots. The SAR government will integrate the practical requirements of safeguarding national security throughout the entire process of the development plan of the SAR, accurately practice the overall national security concept, continuously improve the legal system and enforcement mechanism for safeguarding national security, strengthen the security guarantee capabilities and modernization construction in various fields, and build a solid barrier for Macau to safeguard national security with practical actions. High level security will serve as a safeguard for the stable and far-reaching development of the "One Country, Two Systems" cause. Zheng Xincong stated that safeguarding national security is only ongoing and not completed. We should view Macao's coordinated development and security from a historical perspective, plan Macao's coordinated development and security with a sense of responsibility, and promote Macao's coordinated development and security with a grand strategic framework. I hope the SAR government can unite and lead all sectors of society to deeply implement the overall national security concept, actively fulfill its constitutional responsibility to safeguard national sovereignty, security, and development interests, solidly promote the modernization of the national security system and capacity, and work together to build a higher level of safe Australia. It is reported that this series of activities is themed "Coordinated Development and Security Escort for the New Journey of the 15th Five Year Plan", including the National Security Education Exhibition and the National Security themed Public Welfare Film Festival. Among them, the National Security Education Exhibition for All focuses on showcasing how the Macao Special Administrative Region, under the leadership of the central government, has always accurately grasped the correct direction of "One Country, Two Systems", steadfastly coordinated development and security, continuously improved the legal system and enforcement mechanism for safeguarding national security, and contributed Macao's strength to the new journey of the 15th Five Year Plan through refined text, over 360 documentary pictures, videos, and multimedia interactive installations. The exhibition will be open to the public for free until May 15th. After the opening ceremony, the "Artificial Intelligence for National Protection and Security" essay contest and short video competition award ceremony were held, attracting more than 32000 students to actively participate.
