The Chinese Navy's "Silk Road Ark" hospital ship, which is carrying out the "Harmony Mission-2025" mission, successfully concluded its friendly visit and medical services to Papua New Guinea on the 15th local time, and departed from Port Moresby to return home. Military and political officials from Papua New Guinea, staff members of the Chinese Embassy in Papua New Guinea, local residents, and representatives of Chinese and overseas Chinese waited at the pier to see them off. Papua New Guinea is the last stop of the "Silk Road Ark" hospital ship carrying out the "Harmony Mission-2025" mission. During the visit to Papua New Guinea, the hospital ship received a total of 5635 local residents and overseas Chinese, performed 361 surgical procedures, conducted 3082 various auxiliary examinations, and admitted 16 inpatients. In addition to providing high-level medical services, the hospital ship also held deck receptions, organized friendly basketball matches between mission officers and soldiers and the Papua New Guinea Defense Forces, visited the China Papua New Guinea Friendship School Butuka Academy, visited the Basrisk Naval Base, and conducted academic exchanges with the Papua New Guinea University School of Medicine. Papua New Guinea Prime Minister Malape expressed sincere gratitude to the hospital ship for providing high-quality medical services to the people of Papua New Guinea.
