Hong Kong and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization sign a joint statement to promote industrial development

On the 14th, the Innovation, Technology and Industry Bureau of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization signed a joint statement in Hong Kong on promoting cooperation in industrial development, innovation and digital transformation, actively promoting inclusive and sustainable industrial development. On that day, the Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Carrie Lam, met with the Director General of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization, Robert Mueller, at the headquarters of the SAR government to exchange views on strengthening cooperation in industrial development, and jointly witnessed the signing of a joint statement. Sun Dong, Director of the Innovation, Technology and Industry Bureau of the Special Administrative Region Government, and Zou Zhiyong, Deputy Director General of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization, signed a joint statement. The two sides signed a joint statement with the goal of establishing a cooperation framework, promoting industrial innovation, technology transfer, and capacity development through strengthened cooperation, information sharing, and exchange of best practices, including exploring the joint creation of a global center of excellence for advanced manufacturing and artificial intelligence in Hong Kong. Li Jiachao stated that with the signing of the joint statement, the SAR government and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization will strengthen cooperation, jointly promote industrial innovation and technology transfer, seize opportunities in the new round of technological revolution, accelerate high-quality industrial development and transformation, and further play the role of Hong Kong as a "super contact person" and "super value-added person", attract domestic and foreign enterprises to settle down, cultivate and strengthen new quality productivity.
