On April 8, 2026, the new flight procedures for the 3000 meter runway of the expansion project of Guizhou Bijie Feixiong Airport completed on-site verification and test flights. The airport's preparations for resuming operations have entered the final sprint stage, with plans to resume flight operations by the end of July. This test flight was commissioned by Bijie Feixiong Airport and executed by China Southern Airlines Guizhou Company. A Boeing 737-800 aircraft was selected, and a crew of 5 pilots was selected to strictly comply with civil aviation regulations and technical standards. The new flight procedures, including entry and exit, approach and landing, and go around, were comprehensively verified to ensure the safety, standardization, accuracy, and feasibility of the flight procedures. As an important aviation hub for Bijie's opening up to the outside world, Feixiong Airport, after completing this upgrade, can meet the demand for 2.65 million passengers per year.
