The "Blue Sky: China US Youth Friendship Tour" event came to an end on April 8th in Shanghai. Nearly 100 representatives of young students and guests from China and the United States attended the closing ceremony. The event aims to implement the "50000 yuan in 5 years" initiative and is jointly organized by the Chinese People's Institute of Diplomacy, the China US Exchange Foundation, and the Dalio team, founder of Bridgewater Investment Company in the United States. At the closing ceremony, representatives of young students from China and the United States expressed that this journey of getting along day and night, walking side by side, has allowed them to truly experience the people to people connection between China and the United States, the friendship spanning mountains and seas, and the ability of communication and cooperation to bridge barriers and build consensus. Geng Shuang, Vice President of the Chinese People's Institute of Foreign Affairs, stated that under the new situation, more cultural exchange activities between China and the United States are needed to consolidate the public opinion foundation for the stable, healthy, and sustainable development of China US relations. The event was launched in Hong Kong at the end of March, with 20 young students from China and the United States taking the "China US Youth Friendship" scientific research vessel to jointly carry out ocean exploration and cultural exchange activities, and visiting Ningbo and Shanghai on site. During the event, young people from both countries had in-depth exchanges, enhanced mutual understanding, and formed a beautiful friendship. (New Society)
