On April 3rd, at the 2026 Space Computing Industry Conference held in Beijing Economic Development Zone (Yizhuang), the industry's first space computing industry collaborative platform, the "Space Computing Professional Committee" (hereinafter referred to as the "Special Committee"), was officially established. This move marks a new stage of collaborative development in China's space computing industry, which will provide assistance for the construction of a digital China and a space power. It is reported that the special committee was established based on the "Computing Industry Development Matrix". This formation is led by the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, focusing on industrial research, application cultivation, collaborative innovation, and international cooperation promotion. Space computing power is the extension and integration of ground industries in space, and it is the forefront layout for building a global ubiquitous computing power network, which will strongly support the high-quality development of applications such as artificial intelligence. ”Li Jie, Deputy Director of Yunda Institute of China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, stated that the establishment of the special committee will enhance the synergy between computing power and the aerospace industry chain, and create a fully integrated industrial ecosystem. It is reported that as the industry's first specialized collaborative platform facing the whole country, the special committee currently brings together the forces of academicians, experts, leading enterprises, research institutes, and financial institutions in the industry chain. It will promote work around five core directions and systematically build a space computing technology system and industrial ecology. One is to strengthen strategic research, provide decision-making support, and collaborate with industry, academia, research, and application parties to compile the "Forward looking Research Report on the Development of Space Computing Power (2026)", systematically analyze the global technological evolution and industrial pattern, and provide decision-making support for national policy formulation and industrial layout; Secondly, we will organize key core technology research and development, focusing on areas such as onboard AI chips, inter satellite laser communication, efficient thermal control, and space photovoltaics. We will systematically carry out forward-looking technology joint research and development, widely gather innovative forces across fields and disciplines, promote breakthroughs in industry university research collaboration, and accelerate the formation of a core technology system; The third is to accelerate the pre research and construction of the standard system, carry out pre research, project approval and compilation of standards in key areas such as computing equipment, communication protocols, software platforms, energy and power supply, evaluation and certification, and create a comprehensive standard system covering hardware, software, network, operation and maintenance to consolidate the foundation of industrial coordinated development; Fourth, deepen the mining and demonstration and promotion of application scenarios, conduct the collection and pilot verification of innovative schemes for application scenarios such as satellite agents, disaster emergency response, low orbit satellite Internet, deep space exploration, and promote the transformation from "technically available" to "commercially feasible"; The fifth is to build an open and win-win industrial ecosystem, regularly hold ecological activities such as technical seminars, industry conferences, and supply-demand docking meetings, promote resource sharing and collaborative innovation, attract high-quality resources from across the country and even the world, and create an open and win-win space computing innovation community. Next, the special committee will adhere to the principles of "openness, collaboration, innovation, and win-win", fully leverage the role of the platform hub, deeply integrate the resources of industry, academia, and research, and promote scene innovation through the construction of communication mechanisms, organization of technological breakthroughs, and promotion of scenario innovation. It will promote the space computing industry from technology verification to a new stage of scale and commercialization, create a fully integrated space computing industry ecosystem, and jointly draw a grand blueprint for "computing power going to the sky".
