"Jeju China Tourism Exchange Night" was held in Jeju Special Self-Governing Province, South Korea on the evening of March 30. The event was hosted by Jeju Special Self-Governing Province and Jeju Tourism Community. Nearly a hundred people attended the event, including Chen Jianjun, Consul General of China in Jeju, Jin Aishu, Deputy Governor of Jeju Province, Jin Yangpu, Director of Jeju Tourism Exchange Bureau, Gao Shengtie, President of Jeju Tourism Corporation, Jiang Dongxun, President of Jeju Tourism Association, as well as representatives from 45 major travel agencies, five major Jeju tourism promotion offices, major Chinese airlines, and media representatives. During the event, Jeju emphasized its vision of "Jeju Tourism Transformation" and launched a new tourism brand, "The Jeju4 Seasons". The organizer stated that Jeju will focus on breaking away from the low-priced group tour model and promoting the establishment of a new tourism image of "high-end and high added value" in the future. Chen Jianjun stated at the exchange night event that China and South Korea are geographically close, culturally connected, and have a close relationship. Since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and South Korea in 1992, pragmatic cooperation in various fields between the two countries has developed rapidly. Jeju plays a unique and important role in the friendly exchanges between China and South Korea, with comprehensive development of exchanges and cooperation with China, especially fruitful achievements in cultural exchanges. Last October, the "Qingdao Jeju" sea freight logistics route was successfully opened, laying a more solid foundation for practical cooperation between Jeju and China. Gaosheng Railway emphasized that Jeju will continue to explore unique cultural and tourism content such as health and wellness, local characteristic tourism, etc., to help the industry build Jeju into a more attractive high-end destination in the Chinese market. Jiang Dongxun stated that Jeju, as the first region in South Korea to implement a visa free entry system, has always been an important gateway for Chinese tourists to conveniently experience South Korean tourism. Based on the foundation of the Chinese market, Jeju Tourism Association has established a friendly cooperation network with 17 tourism related institutions in China. In the early stage of the event, the organizer also held a B2B tourism promotion and negotiation meeting, where 45 top travel agencies from China conducted one-on-one precise business docking with local tourism enterprises and institutions in Jeju. Both sides have had in-depth exchanges on core issues such as innovative development of tourism products, optimized route design, and mutual exchange of customer sources, actively exploring new models of cooperation.
