Provide innovative solutions for global energy green transformation
2026-03-19
"China's global energy Internet initiative, which provides China's solutions for promoting the world's energy transition and sustainable development, has been incorporated into the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Paris Agreement and other working frameworks, and has received support and response from more than 100 countries and many international organizations, providing a positive example for the global clean energy transition." Xin Baoan, chairman of the Global Energy Internet Development Cooperation Organization (hereinafter referred to as the "Cooperation Organization"), said that the global energy Internet is a clean led, power centric, interconnected, smart and efficient modern energy system, which can accelerate the response to the common energy dilemma facing the world through joint consultation and sharing among members, and help developing countries achieve accessible and affordable energy transition. Xin Bao'an stated that since its establishment 10 years ago, the number of members of the cooperative organization has increased from 80 at the beginning to 1450, covering 145 countries and regions, making it a representative multilateral cooperation organization in the energy field internationally. The cooperative organization is deeply involved in global energy governance, promotes the global energy Internet initiative to become a global consensus and action, and contributes wisdom to the sustainable development of the world. "The cooperative organization formulates and publishes the international standard of global energy Internet to provide innovative solutions for the green transformation of global energy," said Xin Baoan. The cooperative organization is committed to using China's ultra-high voltage, smart grid, and clean energy technologies to build a global energy interconnection network. Xin Baoan said that the cooperative organization studied and launched the world's first power development index, released the world's first directory of energy transformation to promote biodiversity conservation, actively built an academic platform and participated in specific projects, established an English journal of the global energy Internet, carried out capacity building, and enriched the "practice map" of the global energy Internet. As of 2025, the cooperative organization has provided energy transformation training for about 10000 people in more than 100 countries, provided strategic advice for the "African Belt" photovoltaic project, and promoted the negotiation process of multiple cross-border interconnected transmission lines between China and ASEAN... "These measures promote the sharing of power development opportunities among countries, especially in the global South," said Xin Baoan. Currently, China has built the world's largest and fastest-growing renewable energy system, with green electricity accounting for nearly 40% of the total electricity consumption in the society. Xin Baoan stated that during the 15th Five Year Plan period, China will accelerate the comprehensive green transformation of its economic and social development, accelerate the construction of a new energy system, and focus on building a new power system. This will not only help China achieve green development and promote the implementation of its "dual carbon" goals, but also promote the construction of a more fair, just, balanced, and inclusive global energy governance system. This year, the Fourth Session of the 14th National People's Congress passed the Ecological Environment Code of the People's Republic of China. Xin Bao'an said, "The Code is in line with the needs of the times, demonstrates China's firm commitment to green development, and provides important guidance for global ecological governance." Xin Bao'an believes that sustainable development is the common pursuit of all countries, and multilateral cooperation is an important path to achieve sustainable development. "Energy transformation is the core task of sustainable development. By strengthening energy multilateral cooperation, promoting technology sharing, mutual financial assistance, capacity building, and interconnection of power grid infrastructure, we can help developing countries promote clean energy development at low cost and on a large scale, and achieve fair, just, and inclusive energy transformation." Xin Bao'an expressed that the cooperative organization is willing to work with all parties to adhere to multilateralism, strengthen multilateral cooperation, and "promote the construction of an open, inclusive, mutually beneficial and win-win international energy new pattern.
