We are looking forward to amending the Teacher Law! We hope to submit it for review as soon as possible, "said Zhang Shuqin, a representative of the National People's Congress, expressing the voices of many educators. The Teacher Law of the People's Republic of China was promulgated in 1993, and it has been 33 years since then. With the continuous deepening of economic and social development and education reform, issues such as the boundaries of teachers' rights and responsibilities, salary guarantees, and career development are becoming increasingly complex. Some provisions of the Teacher Law are no longer suitable for the current needs of educational reform and development. Timely revision and improvement of the Teacher Law is not only the expectation of educators, but also an inevitable requirement for promoting high-quality development of the education industry. We look forward to the high-quality completion of the revision of the Teacher Law as soon as possible, effectively safeguarding the rights and interests of teachers, ensuring their treatment, clarifying the boundaries of teacher behavior, and consolidating a solid legal foundation for building a high-quality and professional teacher team.
