Castro sworn in as President of Chile

Chilean President elect Jose Antonio Castell was sworn in on the 11th, beginning a four-year term. The presidential handover ceremony was held on the same day at the National Assembly in Valparaiso, the second largest city in Chile. Castell handed over the presidential ribbon and the Oigin emblem, symbolizing presidential power, to outgoing President Boric. At the ceremony, a new cabinet member was also appointed.
