In early spring, deep in the Qilian Mountains, there is a vast forest sea. A female maintenance team braves the chilly wind and travels through mountains and rivers to conduct patrols. The Qingyanggou Management and Protection Station of Qilian Mountain National Park (candidate area) Qinghai Area is located in Aruo Township, Qilian County, Haibei Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Qinghai Province, with an average altitude of over 3100 meters. At present, there are 54 female ecological managers in the management and protection station. They are stationed deep in the Qilian Mountains all year round, undertaking tasks such as monitoring forest growth, preventing and controlling pests and diseases, investigating fire hazards, and protecting and rescuing wildlife in their jurisdiction. They are dedicated to protecting the land beneath their feet with care and emotion. The Qilian Mountains are an important ecological security barrier in western China and an important habitat for rare wild animals such as snow leopards, white lipped deer, and black necked cranes.
