The Health Commission of Qinghai Province announced on the 9th that since the 14th Five Year Plan, the coverage rate of family doctor contracted services for the elderly in the province has reached 81.57%, and the traditional Chinese medicine health management rate for the elderly has reached 76.48%. In the past five years, Qinghai has carried out special actions such as prevention and treatment of elderly dementia and psychological care, benefiting over 200000 people. Through the "Health Knock on Action" for disabled elderly people and the signing of family doctor services, we provide door-to-door diagnosis and treatment, rehabilitation care, and other services for special elderly groups. The province has invested over 250 million yuan to provide free health check ups for 2.1363 million elderly people aged 65 and above. At the same time, medical services continue to be optimized, and the geriatric medicine departments of secondary and above comprehensive hospitals in Qinghai have achieved full coverage. 25 institutions in the province have established palliative care services, and 16 medical institutions have launched a pilot program for inpatient care free, serving 4350 patients. Grassroots (Tibetan) hospitals are fully covered, and elderly friendly medical institutions account for 97%, significantly improving the convenience of medical treatment for the elderly. In terms of medical and elderly care integration, Qinghai has introduced multiple policies to form a diversified service model. At present, there are 13 integrated medical and elderly care institutions operating in the province, and 184 pairs of medical institutions have signed cooperation agreements with elderly care institutions. Two counties and one institution in the province have been awarded the national demonstration of medical and elderly care integration, and the pilot of remote collaborative services has been implemented, allowing high-quality medical resources to reach the elderly population directly.
