According to data released by the Global Mobile Communications System Association, the organizer of the conference, on the 5th, over 100000 people from 207 countries and regions around the world participated in the exhibition, with over 2900 exhibitors, sponsors, and conference partners, including more than 300 companies from China. Vivek Badrinat, President of the Global System for Mobile Communications Association, stated that the global connectivity industry has never been as dynamic or goal oriented as it is now. "This conference showcases the power that the world's top talents can unleash when working together around complex challenges. Participants generally believe that as AI moves from a concept to a large-scale application, communication networks are gradually transforming from simply providing connectivity infrastructure to an important platform supporting the operation of AI applications. Peter Jarridge, the head of the Global Mobile Communications System Association's think tank, stated that this conference shows that the communication industry is entering a new stage of development, and the industry's focus is shifting from simply improving network performance to building a more open communication architecture and industry ecosystem around AI, cloud computing, and data platforms. At this conference, Chinese companies performed outstandingly. The exhibition areas of Huawei, Xiaomi, Lenovo, Honor and other enterprises are popular, and multiple AI innovative products such as robot phones have become the focus of the scene; Multiple Chinese companies have continuously expanded the application of AI in segmented industries, showcasing industry solutions developed based on Huawei's AI model and computing power platform. For example, the intelligent investment assistant launched by financial technology company Win Win can provide users with transaction analysis and investment decision support; Chinese companies have won the "Global Mobile Award" in multiple fields such as network infrastructure, innovative products, and industry solutions. This year marks the 20th anniversary of the conference landing in Barcelona. A report released by the Barcelona Foundation, the mobile capital of the world, shows that over the past 20 years, mobile communication conferences have created more than 173000 job opportunities in the city, bringing a cumulative economic benefit of over 6.9 billion euros to the local area.
