According to data released by the Ministry of Commerce, since the 14th Five Year Plan, China's digital consumption has expanded and improved, with an overall scale of over 23.8 trillion yuan, ranking as the world's largest online retail market for 13 consecutive years. Among them, the online retail sales of physical goods reached 13.09 trillion yuan, an increase of 5.2%, driving the total retail sales of consumer goods to increase by 1.3 percentage points during the same period. The live streaming e-commerce industry maintains a good development trend, with live streaming transaction volume increasing by 11.3% compared to the previous year in 2025. Instant delivery is developing rapidly, meeting consumer needs faster and better. The impressive performance report of online retail is a vivid epitome of China's digital consumption scale and quality leap. Online retail leads consumption upgrading and cultivates a foundation of happiness for people's livelihoods. Convenient and efficient online shopping has become a standard for Chinese consumers. According to business big data monitoring, the online retail sales of digital products such as mobile phones and intelligent robots will increase by 20.5% and 18% respectively by 2025. Online retail injects new impetus into the rapid rise of intelligent consumption, quality consumption, and green consumption, making the convenient life of "fingertip ordering and home delivery" within reach and benefiting millions. Online retail supports industrial transformation and activates high-quality development momentum. E-commerce promotes better adaptation between supply and demand, and better stimulates the endogenous driving force of China's industrial development. By 2025, the online retail sales of rural and agricultural products in China will increase by 6.7% and 9.9% respectively, while the e-commerce transaction volume of the textile and pharmaceutical industries will increase by 6.6% and 3.8% respectively. At the same time, e-commerce is driving rapid development in logistics and express delivery, communication software, artificial intelligence, and other fields. Online retail connects both domestic and international markets, creating a new picture of mutual benefit and win-win outcomes. China's online retail "circle of friends" is becoming increasingly widespread. By 2025, China's "Silk Road e-commerce" partner countries will expand to 36. The Shanghai Silk Road E-commerce Cooperation Pilot Zone has formed and promoted 12 institutional innovation achievements, including cross-border recognition of digital identities. According to business big data monitoring, the retail sales of key cross-border e-commerce import platforms will increase by 5.6% in 2025. The 4th Global Digital Trade Expo attracted 1812 enterprises from 154 countries and regions to participate in the Expo, which reached a new high in scale.
