The "2026 Macao International Environmental Cooperation and Development Forum and Exhibition" (hereinafter referred to as "2026MIECF"), hosted by the Macao SAR Government, will be held from March 26 to 28 at the Cotai Strip Macao Convention and Exhibition Center. With the theme of "Global Cooperation for Low Carbon and Waste Free Cities", through the "Green Forum", upgrading the "Green Exhibition" and extending the "Green Services", promoting the construction of low-carbon and waste free cities, facilitating green technology exchanges and expanding market opportunities, and helping Macau become a regional hub for green development and green business opportunities. It is reported that the 2026 MIECF "Green Forum" will invite experts, scholars, and industry elites in the field of environmental protection from multiple countries and regions to share the latest development trends and green innovation technology applications in the environmental protection industry on topics such as ecological civilization construction, waste management system, green finance, and regional environmental cooperation with innovative thinking, and jointly explore the construction and development strategies of low-carbon and waste free cities. The green exhibition has three key exhibition areas: zero waste circular economy exhibition area, green transportation exhibition area, and green low-carbon project exhibition area. The zero waste circular economy exhibition area, which was established for the first time this year, plans to invite international energy giants from the world's top 500 companies, environmental benchmark enterprises from mainland China, environmental organizations from Portuguese speaking countries, and leading technology enterprises to focus on waste management, resource recycling, zero waste innovation, green finance, green building and other fields, providing economic and technological support for the construction of waste free cities. This year's conference will further promote in-depth communication among enterprises to advance the transformation of exhibition project results. A "Green Gathering Room" will be specially created, which will gather green matching areas, business exchange areas, green transformation service counters, and green VIP lounges.
