Rapid leap, hovering and rolling, diving and breakthrough... Recently, a coherent assessment of a certain army brigade in eastern Guangdong has been launched. New platoon leader Zhou Lei proficiently controlled the drone to climb over obstacles and conduct close range reconnaissance, leading the team to successfully complete multiple course assessments. In the early stage, the pre job training organized by the brigade placed great emphasis on cultivating the drone operation skills of new platoon leaders. Thanks to this, proficient drone operation has become a necessary quality for new platoon leaders. ”Zhou Lei said that the new platoon leaders in the brigade who were in the same group as him were proficient in drone operation skills. Not only that, during the training period, more than 90% of their new platoon leaders successfully obtained the civil unmanned aerial vehicle operator license. It is understood that in the past, the new platoon leader pre service training organized by the brigade mainly focused on traditional subjects such as internal affairs style, staff affairs, basic physical fitness, and teaching command. Since last year, the brigade has formulated the "Unmanned Intelligence Talent Training Plan" based on the needs of military combat capability construction, which includes the practical application skills of unmanned aerial vehicles as a mandatory training course for new platoon leaders. The training content not only covers the key points of civilian unmanned aerial vehicle license assessment, but also includes military specific courses such as unmanned aerial vehicle mounting simulation ammunition, enemy target reconnaissance and identification, and intelligence data sharing. Before arranging the new platoon leader to take up his post, he was exposed to the practical application of drones, which was due to a training failure of the brigade. During that training, the brigade engaged in offensive and defensive confrontations with their opponents, who assigned unmanned reconnaissance forces in tiers. The brigade's offensive deployment was monitored in real-time, and ultimately suffered heavy losses. This made the party committee of the brigade realize soberly that with the accelerated evolution of the form of war and the widespread deployment and application of unmanned intelligent equipment, the troops urgently need to vigorously cultivate new domain and new quality talents who understand the profession, know how to operate, and are good at command. After discussion, they decided to start from the source and let the new platoon leader master the practical application skills of drones before taking up their post. Director Yu of the Human Resources Department of the brigade said that they are exploring the path of joint training, introducing local professional training forces for skill teaching and qualification certification in the pre job training of new platoon leaders, and coordinating with local professional institutions to develop standardized training courses for new platoon leaders. To further assist new platoon leaders in correcting skill deviations and shortening their growth cycle, the brigade has partnered with institutions authorized and certified by the Civil Aviation Administration of China to explore and launch a "theoretical lectures+simulation operations+practical training and inspection" group training mode, inviting local experts to explain aircraft theoretical knowledge and teach flight operation skills to the team. The new platoon leader Tao Yunzhi learned a lot of flight theory during his military academy, but he was not good at practical operation. During the training, he often crashed the drone due to improper use of the control stick while maneuvering it around the pole. Under the guidance of local experts, Tao Yunzhi focused on refining his own shortcomings. After a period of effort, Tao Yunzhi's proficiency in operating drones steadily improved and ultimately passed the assessment smoothly. Assessment is not the end point, actual combat is the goal. To help the new platoon leader broaden their application horizons and strengthen their practical awareness, the brigade invited professional backbones from external units who have participated in joint exercises multiple times to come to the training site to teach and guide. Professional backbone personnel set up various combat scenarios such as mountainous forests, distinguish between concealed stationary targets and mobile targets, and organize new platoon leaders to conduct practical operational training. In addition, they also guided new platoon leaders in completing training courses such as route planning, reconnaissance and search, and simulated bomb dropping, focusing on the application skills of infrared imaging, data transmission, and other equipment, helping them accelerate the improvement of their practical abilities. In a recent comprehensive exercise organized by the brigade, the new platoon leader Yang Xiongbin took advantage of the terrain to manipulate drones to avoid interference and quickly reach the target area. He successfully built a three-dimensional reconnaissance network and transmitted high-definition images in real time, providing support for subsequent firepower strikes. As a new pilot who can proficiently use drones to conduct reconnaissance operations in a short period of time, Yang Xiongbin couldn't help but sigh: "Pre job training has benefited me a lot." "A small drone can bring the field of vision of a commander from the ground to the air. ”The leader of the brigade said that during this period, they have established a database of new domain and new quality talents, and included new platoon leaders with excellent assessment results in the drone combat backbone training plan. Next, they will continuously consolidate and enhance the combat capabilities of the new platoon leader through simulated confrontations and other methods, promoting the accelerated generation of new domain and new quality combat power in the army.
