At present, Zhengzhou provides a reward of 50 yuan for each reported issue of kitchen hygiene discovered by delivery riders during meal pickup, which greatly enhances the motivation of delivery riders. As a part of the city, new employment groups such as food delivery drivers can integrate well into the urban governance system due to their mobility and networking characteristics. Encouraging riders to "take photos at will" is not the first initiative in Zhengzhou. Similar measures have been taken in several cities in China before, and delivery platforms are also encouraging riders to act as food safety supervisors. However, only by forming clear institutional support can more "ghost delivery" chaos be discovered and controlled. Therefore, in addition to reward support, the personal safety of food delivery drivers should also be institutionalized and gradually promoted nationwide, making this group an important part of social supervision. In the long run, to solve the chaos of "ghost takeout" and other food delivery problems, it is necessary to build a "Great Wall" to safeguard food safety through multiple efforts. Consumers who purchase unsatisfactory meals through food delivery will not only be dissatisfied with the merchants, but also believe that the platform is not fulfilling its responsibilities effectively. This requires the platform to proactively address the concerns and difficulties of food delivery merchants based on market rules, subsidize their investment in "bright kitchen and stove" software and hardware equipment, and improve the transparency of food safety information through multi-dimensional label display, so that the kitchen of catering merchants is no longer a "hidden corner". A sufficiently transparent kitchen is conducive to the diversified development of the food delivery and catering industry.
