The Shanghai prosecutor's office has filed a public prosecution for the crime of infringing on trade secrets, and all 14 defendants have been sentenced to imprisonment. At the same time, the procuratorial organs strictly crack down on commercial espionage crimes in accordance with the law. In the case of Zhang illegally providing trade secrets to overseas parties under the guidance of the Supreme People's Procuratorate, the defendant Zhang was an employee of a well-known semiconductor company in China. After leaving the company, he violated confidentiality agreements and illegally leaked the original company's trade secrets on behalf of an overseas organization. After being prosecuted by the procuratorial organs in accordance with the law, he was sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment and fined. In terms of comprehensive judicial protection of copyright, the procuratorial organs continue to strengthen the protection of common infringement areas such as educational books, film and television works, as well as digital works and cultural and creative products such as computer software, online games, and cultural and creative products. From January to November 2025, procuratorial organs across the country handled a total of 1434 copyright cases and prosecuted 915 cases of copyright infringement involving 1795 individuals. According to statistics, from January to November 2025, the procuratorial organs have prosecuted a total of 64 cases involving intellectual property infringement of cultural and creative products, including 20 cases involving "Nezha" and 13 cases involving "Bubble Mart". In a copyright infringement case handled by the Dongyang prosecutor's office in Zhejiang Province, the defendant set up an illegal film and television website and played pirated movies such as "Ne Zha: The Demon Children Roar in the Sea" and "Fengshen Part II: The Western Qi of War" to the public for profit, involving more than 130000 pirated movies.
