The 'two-way rush' between Shenzhen and Hong Kong has a strong New Year's flavor! Shenzhen Port welcomes the Spring Festival cross-border boom

During the Spring Festival holiday, citizens' enthusiasm for cross-border travel has been high, and in recent days, the inbound and outbound passenger flow at Shenzhen Port has continued to operate at a high level. According to statistics from the Shenzhen Exit Entry Border Inspection General Station, from February 16th (New Year's Eve) to 16:00 on the 23rd (7th day of the lunar new year), there were over 1.58 million inbound and outbound personnel passing through Huanggang and Futian ports, including more than 10700 foreign tourists; The number of inbound and outbound passengers at Liantang Port exceeded 650000, a year-on-year increase of over 16% compared to last year's Spring Festival holiday. The highest number of daily clearance tour groups was about 400, and the number of tour groups to Hong Kong and Macao increased by more than 60% compared to the previous period, becoming a major highlight of cross-border travel during the holiday. Hong Kong residents go north to visit relatives, shop, and travel, while mainland residents go south to Hong Kong and Macau for vacation, both of which together constitute the main tourist flow during holidays. Big data monitoring shows that both Hong Kong and Macau residents and mainland residents at Liantang Port maintain a high level of inbound and outbound personnel, and the number of foreign tourists traveling has also increased by nearly 15% compared to the same period last year, reflecting the increasing attractiveness of international passenger flow on the export coast. On February 23rd, the last day of the long Chinese New Year holiday and a normal working day in Hong Kong, there was no peak in inbound passenger flow at Huanggang and Futian ports during the morning hours. Only a few batches of Hong Kong elderly people who participated in Greater Bay Area city tour groups or went to Shenzhen for tea consumption, and a small number of mainland residents who went abroad with their elderly and children for short trips back to Singapore, South Korea, Malaysia and other countries for the Chinese New Year, had overall stable and orderly passenger flow. The continuous flow of passengers from the two ports in the outbound direction has also significantly decreased compared to the previous few days. Due to the end of the Spring Festival holiday until February 23rd, many mainland residents who travel abroad for short-term trips to foreign countries or Hong Kong and Macao after the reunion year, in order to return to their respective work positions on time, mostly set off on their return journey "back to their nest" on February 21st and 22nd, adjusting their pace and preparing to resume normal work on time. It is estimated that the peak of multiple inbound and outbound return passenger flows will continue from 14:00 to 22:00. Especially at Huanggang Port, which has 24-hour customs clearance, there are still slight controllable peaks in inbound and outbound passenger flow at night and in the early morning. According to previous years, after the Spring Festival holiday, the pressure of passenger flow diversion at various ports in Shenzhen will not immediately ease due to factors such as Hong Kong resuming work and Shenzhen Hong Kong day students starting school. The inbound and outbound passenger flow will continue to operate at a high level. The border inspection department reminds all inbound and outbound Chinese and foreign passengers to arrange their travel reasonably, try to avoid peak hours, choose ports for travel, and avoid the peak period of inbound and outbound passenger flow at Huanggang Port from 22:00 to 1:30 am the next day; The peak period of inbound passenger flow from 10:00 to 15:00, outbound passenger flow from 9:00 to 11:00, and 19:00 to 22:00 at Futian Port; Please take good care of the elderly and children accompanying you when traveling, to prevent them from getting lost or wandering, and queue up in an orderly manner at the port for inspection; If you encounter difficulties during the customs clearance process, you can seek help from the on duty police on site.
