As the Spring Festival approaches, Shi Shengpu, the chief and senior engineer of the China Remote Sensing Satellite Ground Station Mohe Satellite Data Receiving Station (referred to as "Mohe Station"), engineers Li Qiang and Gao Jingfei, and assistant engineer Tian Dong rarely gather at the station. Usually, there is only one person on duty here. They seized the time, braved the severe cold, and conducted winter inspections. The Mohe Station, located about 2 kilometers west of Mohe City, will be officially put into operation on December 12, 2025. It is the highest latitude satellite data receiving station in China. The station has the ability to receive fully automated satellite data and is currently responsible for receiving data from a total of 25 national land observation satellites, including the resource series, environmental disaster reduction series, and high-resolution series. With its unique high latitude geographical location advantage, polar orbit satellites can increase their daily reception time by more than 20%, making it an important component of China's land satellite receiving station network.
