On the 25th, the 35th batch of Chinese aid medical teams to Zanzibar held a themed free clinic event called "Hundred Teams, Thousand Villages Tour" at a local orphanage. This free clinic covers eight fields including internal medicine, surgery, dentistry, otolaryngology, ophthalmology, anesthesia, traditional Chinese medicine, and public health, providing services for about 70 orphans. In response to the health needs of children in orphanages, the medical team has specifically set up a health education section. The team members created health flyers in the local language, explaining to the children the cultivation of hygiene habits, prevention of common diseases, and teaching them the correct methods of washing hands and protecting teeth. In addition, traditional Chinese medicine physicians demonstrated massage health techniques and provided gentle conditioning suggestions for some children with weaker bodies; Public health experts had a discussion with orphanage staff to share their experience in child health management, in order to help improve the institution's daily health security capabilities. After the free clinic, the medical team also donated carefully prepared supplies such as medicine, stationery, and food to the orphanage. Captain Bao Zengtao stated that children are the inheritors of China Africa friendship, and the medical team is linked by the "Hundred Teams, Thousand Villages Tour" activity. It not only practices the spirit of the Chinese aid medical team, which is "fearless of hardship, willing to contribute, saving lives and helping the wounded, and boundless love", but also responds to the call of the "China Africa Cultural Exchange Year" to enhance mutual understanding and friendship. The head of the orphanage, Salim, stated that the arrival of the Chinese medical team has brought tangible help to the children, not only solving some of the current health problems, but also enhancing the daily health management capabilities of the orphanage through health education and experience sharing. This kind of free clinic activity has made the orphanage feel the sincere care from China, and has also left a warm and lasting impression of the friendship between Africa and China in the hearts of the children.
