Meanwhile, in recent years, the added value of China's patent intensive industries has continuously reached new heights, growing from 12 trillion yuan in 2020 to over 18 trillion yuan in 2024, with a 1.41 percentage point increase in GDP proportion, continuously enhancing its driving effect on economic growth. The proportion of digital economy related industries in patent intensive industries continues to increase, with the added value of information and communication technology manufacturing and information and communication technology services totaling nearly 8 trillion yuan, accounting for over 40% of the overall proportion.
