On January 21st, the double track section between Ruichang Road Station and Sifangchang Station of Qingdao Metro Line 5 was completed, taking a crucial step towards the opening and operation of the entire line. It is reported that the geological risk sources in this area are dense, and it is necessary to pass through the Jiaoji Railway, large overpasses, and densely populated residential areas successively. The requirements for construction safety and surrounding environmental protection are extremely strict. During the construction process, the shield machine completed three underground starting and receiving operations and two long-distance translations within the station. Through refined management throughout the entire process, the goal of "zero settlement" for continuous double line underpass was ultimately achieved. Zero settlement "refers to the precise control of soil chamber pressure and propulsion speed during shield tunneling, synchronous grouting to fill the gaps between the pipe segments and the soil, and control the settlement of the surface and surrounding buildings and pipelines within ± 5mm, without geological subsidence or displacement during the construction process.
