The 2026 Beijing Artificial Intelligence Innovation Highland Construction Promotion Conference was recently held. At the meeting, the first batch of four artificial intelligence innovation blocks were officially released, covering four key areas: Haidian, Chaoyang, Shijingshan, and Economic Development Zone. Beijing will build a "one core, multiple points" layout with Haidian as the core, striving to make it the core engine of Beijing's artificial intelligence and a national innovation landmark within two years. The innovation blocks released this time have their own characteristics: Haidian's "Origin Community" is centered around Wudaokou and covers an area of about 3 square kilometers. It relies on the resources of universities and innovative enterprises such as Tsinghua University and Peking University to create the "first stop for global AI talent innovation and entrepreneurship"; Chaoyang Guangzhi Space, located in Zhongguancun Chaoyang Park, covers an area of 2.67 square kilometers and focuses on next-generation computing technologies such as quantum computing to promote the engineering application of achievements; Shijingshan's "Cultural Intelligence Landscape" takes Shougang Park North District and other areas as carriers, covers an area of 0.4 square kilometers, and builds an "AI+Culture" integrated innovation cluster; The "Modular World" of the Economic Development Zone is located in the Tongming Lake Science and Technology Belt, covering an area of 2 square kilometers, focusing on embodied intelligence and other directions, forming an integrated closed-loop of intelligent manufacturing. To ensure the quality of construction, Beijing will strengthen support from four dimensions: in terms of technological innovation, support for core technology research and innovation platform construction; In terms of application demonstration, support the "Artificial Intelligence+" project, and prioritize the inclusion of new products and services that meet the conditions in the first (set) policy recognition; In terms of element guarantee, provide computing power and data support, and prioritize the layout of major projects and policies; In terms of environmental improvement, we will promote spatial transformation and infrastructure upgrading.
