Recently, the One Voice choir from the United States visited Guangzhou for a two-day cultural exchange and performance event. This event is one of the "Global Youth Look at Guangzhou" series of activities, and also a practice of implementing the "50000 yuan in 5 years" initiative in Guangzhou. It is jointly organized by the Foreign Affairs Office of the Guangzhou Municipal People's Government and the Guangzhou Youth Federation. On the afternoon of the 10th, members of the One Voice choir from the United States climbed onto the iconic Guangzhou Tower and sang the classic song "Friends" with young people in Guangzhou. That night, members of the choir toured the the Pearl River at night. On the cruise ship, the singing of 'Friends' resounded once again, accompanied by a beautiful and moving melody flowing slowly along the river. On the 11th, the choir once again entered the Youth Palace in Liwan District to experience traditional cultural activities such as Cantonese opera performances, gold foil lacquer fans, and brush calligraphy, and to experience the unique charm of excellent traditional Chinese culture up close. In the evening, they came to Zhongshan Memorial Hall and, together with the teenagers from Liwan District Children's Palace, performed music for the citizens of Guangzhou, conveying blessings and joy through singing. During this time, Chinese and American teenagers joined hands to perform the original song "We Are Together". Choir member Cody stated that this song, co written by choir members, is a "gift to the Chinese people". Member Tucker said, "It conveys an important message - people should be brave enough to communicate with people from different cultural backgrounds and become friends
