With the release of the first "Development Blueprint for Traditional Chinese Medicine" by the SAR government and the official opening of Hong Kong's first traditional Chinese medicine hospital, the industry's attention to the modernization and international development of traditional Chinese medicine continues to increase. The forum aims to stimulate discussions on traditional Chinese medicine in the industry, actively attract and assist Chinese medicine enterprises in developing in Hong Kong, and provide one-stop support services to help enterprises expand overseas markets, complete international certifications, and establish regional headquarters through Hong Kong. The Director General of Invest Hong Kong, Liu Kaixuan, stated that Hong Kong's advantage lies in its ability to rely on the strong strength of traditional Chinese medicine in the motherland, as well as its international system and standards. With the advantage of "One Country, Two Systems", Hong Kong will strive to become a super platform for traditional Chinese medicine enterprises to connect the mainland with the world. Invest Hong Kong will continue to assist the industry in connecting with global capital and markets, and promote Hong Kong as a gateway for traditional Chinese medicine to go global. Zhong Zhihao, Commissioner for the Development of Traditional Chinese Medicine at the Medical and Health Bureau of the Special Administrative Region Government, stated that the "Blueprint for the Development of Traditional Chinese Medicine" is the first systematic policy document for traditional Chinese medicine in Hong Kong, providing a clear direction for the high-quality development of traditional Chinese medicine. The SAR government will continue to work together with the industry to build Hong Kong into a gateway for traditional Chinese medicine to go global. As a flagship institution, Hong Kong Chinese Medicine Hospital is actively playing a leading role in clinical, scientific research, and teaching. Bian Zhaoxiang, Chief Executive Officer of Hong Kong Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, said that the hospital would make good use of the advantages of Hong Kong's international window, and had established strategic cooperation with a number of mainland Chinese medicine hospitals and international institutions to promote training, application and development of traditional Chinese patent medicines and simple preparations. This forum has two special discussions, focusing on the scientific research and clinical practice of traditional Chinese medicine, as well as the modernization and internationalization of traditional Chinese medicine.
