On January 8th, the Traffic Management Bureau of the Ministry of Public Security reported that recent road traffic accidents caused by drunk driving have occurred in Shandong, Guangdong, Inner Mongolia, Guizhou and other places, resulting in multiple casualties and serious consequences, which serves as a warning. At around 16:15 on December 23, 2025, a small passenger car (with 5 passengers on board and 5 passengers on board) was traveling west to east along Ningsang Road in Changguan Town, Ningjin County, Dezhou City, Shandong Province, when it hit a power pole on the north side of the bridge and fell into the river, causing 4 deaths and 1 injury on board. After investigation, it was found that the drunk driving of the passenger car driver (with a blood alcohol content of 187.6mg/100ml) was the direct cause of the accident. At around 3:07 pm on December 17, 2025, a small passenger car (carrying 5 people on board and 4 people on board) collided with a vehicle traveling in the opposite direction at Maopo Village, Haring Town, Huazhou City, Maoming City, Guangdong Province, resulting in 4 deaths and 2 injuries. After investigation, it was found that the drunk driving of the passenger car (with a blood alcohol content of 344.4mg/100ml) was the direct cause of the accident. At around 17:20 on December 7, 2025, a small passenger car (carrying 5 people, actually carrying 3 people) drove along G332 National Highway in Hulunbuir City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region from north to south at a distance of 704 kilometers and 500 meters, rear ended a heavy semi-trailer truck traveling in the same direction, resulting in 3 deaths. After investigation, it was found that the drunk driving of the passenger car (with a blood alcohol content of 180mg/100ml) was the direct cause of the accident. At around 6:37 am on December 7, 2025, a small passenger car (carrying 5 people on board and 3 people on board) collided with a light-duty truck traveling normally in the opposite direction near the Huangnipo Tunnel entrance at a distance of 210 kilometers and 500 meters along the Duxiang Expressway in Anshun City, Guizhou Province, resulting in the death of 3 people on board the passenger car. After investigation, it was found that the drunk driving of the passenger car (with a blood alcohol content of 255.4mg/100ml) was the direct cause of the accident. The Traffic Management Bureau of the Ministry of Public Security reminds that drunk driving causing accidents can have serious consequences, and the public security organs have been maintaining a strict investigation of such illegal and criminal activities. At the end of the year and the beginning of the year, there has been an increase in gatherings with friends and family, as well as business festivals. We call on the general public to always remember the principle of "driving without drinking, drinking without driving", consciously resist drunk driving, promptly discourage friends, family, and colleagues from drunk driving behavior, travel safely and legally, and jointly safeguard a safe and happy Chinese New Year.
