The Hong Kong Trade Development Council announced on the 5th that the 19th Asian Financial Forum, jointly organized by the Hong Kong SAR Government and the Council, will be held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre from January 26th to 27th this year, and is expected to attract over 3600 participants from around the world. It is reported that the theme of this forum will be "Cooperation in Changing Times, Win Win in New Times", accompanied by a new forum slogan "Finance Empowers Industry". Over a hundred global political and business leaders and financial experts will be gathered as speakers to analyze geopolitical changes and macroeconomic trends, explore the development of financial markets and potential investment opportunities. The Chairman of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, Frederick Ma, stated that over the past 18 years, the Asian Financial Forum has continued to grow, with its agenda expanding from one day to two days and discussing a wider range of topics. It has invited over 1000 renowned speakers and attracted nearly 60000 participants, becoming a landmark financial forum in Asia and even globally. Ma Shiheng stated that this year's Asian Financial Forum has set up the first "Global Industry Summit", focusing on the deep integration of finance and industry, expanding the agenda from the financial sector to the core context of the real economy, in order to amplify the potential of high value-added industries, drive innovation waves, and make economic growth more powerful. The summit theme will cover high growth and high-value industries such as artificial intelligence and technology, robotics, new consumption, biomedicine, and healthcare. It will also explore opportunities for mainland enterprises to go global and for international enterprises to bring in. Wu Yangyu, Chairman of the Planning Committee of the Asian Financial Forum and CEO of HSBC Hong Kong, stated that attendees of this forum will have the opportunity to directly communicate with industry leaders driving changes in fields such as technology, consumption, healthcare, and finance, while gaining a deeper understanding of the latest developments in Hong Kong.
