The reporter learned from China Railway Nanning Bureau that in 2025, the cumulative export goods sent by China Vietnam trains originating from Guangxi will reach 37000 TEUs, a year-on-year increase of 86%, setting a new historical high. The number of transported goods has increased from 262 to 455, with the freight volume accounting for 73% and 86% of Vietnam's railway exports of freight trains and container goods respectively, an increase of 5 percentage points and 2 percentage points respectively from 2024. To meet the rapidly growing transportation demand of cross-border trade between China and Vietnam, starting from 2025, China Railway Nanning Bureau will increase the traction weight of trains from Pingxiang, Guangxi to Tongdeng, Vietnam from 1000 tons to 1300 tons, and increase the customs clearance capacity of Pingxiang Railway Port by 30%.
