The reporter learned today from China Aviation Industry Corporation that China's independently developed "Xiangyun" AS700 manned airship has obtained the first domestically produced manned airship production license (PC) in the country. This license is issued by the Civil Aviation Administration of China, marking the official entry into mass production of China's first manned airship independently developed according to airworthiness standards. As the core link from development to industrialization, the Type Certificate (TC) and Production License (PC) together form a complete regulatory closed-loop system from "design approval" to "production approval". Previously, the AS700 manned airship obtained a Type Certificate (TC) in December 2023. Since 2024, the AS700 manned airship team has completed over 600 hours of safe test flights in multiple application scenarios, building a comprehensive quality control system covering raw material procurement, component manufacturing, whole boat assembly, and factory inspection, and possessing core capabilities for industrial implementation. It is reported that through the industrialization practice of AS700 manned airship, China has established for the first time a full chain system for the research and development, design, production and manufacturing, test flight, and service guarantee of manned airship, cultivating a professional team.
