The reporter learned from the press conference that Guangdong plans to launch the construction of 300 key urban renewal areas by the end of the 15th Five Year Plan period. Wang Yu, a second level inspector of the Housing and Urban Rural Development Department of Guangdong Province, introduced that the renovation of old residential areas is an important part of implementing urban renewal actions. Various regions in our province will systematically promote the independent renewal of old residential areas, innovate the mechanism of original demolition and construction, and strengthen multi-party collaboration to jointly promote sustainable urban development. The reporter also learned from the meeting that Guangzhou is actively planning and promoting the implementation of a large number of independent renovation projects for dilapidated houses. Currently, one pilot work plan, 275 reserve projects, 58 research projects, and 17 pilot projects have been formed, and will be gradually implemented in stages.
