The "Shenzhen Hong Kong Automotive Express Plan" was recently launched in the Qianhai Comprehensive Bonded Zone of Shenzhen. On that day, a truck loaded with domestically produced new energy vehicles departed from Shenzhen and passed through the Shenzhen Bay Port to Hong Kong. It is reported that under the "Shenzhen Hong Kong Automobile Express Plan" model, domestically produced and exported new energy vehicles that meet regulatory requirements can submit applications to Hong Kong Customs and relevant government departments for pre audit of automobile imports and vehicle qualification approval before actually leaving the Shenzhen special supervision area. After the Hong Kong side completes the pre audit procedures, the vehicles will be officially declared for departure and transported by road to Hong Kong, where they can quickly complete the registration procedures for use by Hong Kong citizens. This model will effectively reduce the operating costs of enterprises and facilitate Hong Kong citizens to enjoy domestically produced new energy vehicles faster. To promote the smooth implementation of the project, the customs of Shenzhen and Hong Kong closely cooperate, establish a normalized communication mechanism, jointly study and clarify business processes, share information on new energy vehicles, review materials in advance, and solve the bottleneck problems in cross-border procedures. Ouyang Xiaocheng, Sales Director of the Asia Pacific Automotive Sales Division of BYD Auto Industry Co., Ltd., said, "By placing the storage and pre-approval process in the Qianhai Comprehensive Bonded Zone, the problem of limited site resources and high operating costs in Hong Kong has been effectively solved. Cars can be quickly registered upon arrival in Hong Kong, greatly saving time spent in Hong Kong and storage costs compared to traditional models." It is reported that after the implementation of the "Shenzhen Hong Kong Automotive Express Plan", it is expected to reduce the total expenditure of various enterprises by tens of millions of yuan per year.
