On the afternoon of December 22, the 19th meeting of the 14th National People's Congress Standing Committee heard a report from the State Council on the rectification of problems found in the execution of the central budget and other fiscal revenue and expenditure audits for 2024. The report points out that the National Audit Office has included all the issues and suggestions reflected in the "Audit Work Report of the State Council on the Implementation of the Central Budget and Other Financial Revenue and Expenditure in 2024" (hereinafter referred to as the "Audit Work Report") in the scope of rectification, and has issued rectification notices and lists of issues to 138 localities, departments, and units for them to fully implement their audit rectification responsibilities; Relevant departments shall conscientiously implement special rectification tasks in accordance with their job responsibilities; The National Audit Office will transfer major issues to relevant departments and local authorities for key investigation and supervision, carry out special audit investigations on rectification, and work together to do a good job in audit rectification. The report shows that the audit rectification results are more authoritative and efficient. As of the end of September 2025, 98% of the 2186 issues required to be rectified by the Audit Work Report have been completed; A timetable and roadmap have been developed for 1299 issues that require phased rectification and 753 issues that require continuous rectification. Local governments, departments, and units have rectified a total of 1.04 trillion yuan in problems, formulated and improved over 1090 systems, and punished more than 3420 people.
