Approved by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council, the third round of the fifth batch of 10 central ecological environment protection inspection teams will successively enter Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei provinces (cities) from November 16 to 19, 2025, as well as 5 central enterprises including China Huadian Corporation and China Baowu Iron and Steel Group Co., Ltd. to carry out routine inspections. At the same time, special inspections on the ecological environment protection of the Grand Canal will be carried out in 8 provinces (cities) including Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, Shandong, Henan, Anhui, Jiangsu, and Zhejiang. The inspection entry stage has been fully completed recently. Each inspection team adheres to the principle of being pragmatic and pragmatic, going deep into the front line and on-site, verifying a number of prominent ecological and environmental problems, verifying a number of issues such as inaction, slow action, lack of responsibility, lack of hard work, and even perfunctory response and fraud. We firmly oppose the use of environmental protection as a cover for "one size fits all" and the generalization and simplification of accountability, as well as the substitution of accountability for rectification. As of December 19, 2025, during the one month period of entry, the 8 routine inspection teams received a total of 9879 calls and letters from the public, accepted 7365 valid reports, and after sorting and merging duplicate reports, a total of 5122 cases were transferred to the inspected objects. 3222 cases have been completed or phased in by the inspected objects. Provinces (cities) and central enterprises attach great importance to the central ecological environment protection inspection work, and the main leaders vigorously promote the implementation of rectification through on-site supervision and holding special meetings.
