The "2025 Technology+New Quality Productivity Summit Forum" hosted by the Hong Kong Chinese Association was held in Hong Kong on the 16th. The attending guests exchanged and shared ideas on strengthening basic scientific research, promoting innovation at the source, breakthroughs in cutting-edge AI technologies, and cultivating innovative talents. At the opening ceremony, Acting Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Chen Guoji, delivered a speech stating that Hong Kong's innovation and technology layout is mainly based on "three major innovation and technology parks and five major research and development institutions", aiming to connect the coordinated development of upstream, midstream, and downstream, and create a complete innovation ecosystem. Hong Kong will fully leverage its bridge advantage of internal and external connections, attract enterprises with cutting-edge technology and advanced research capabilities to settle in, and continuously strengthen the local innovation and technology ecosystem. Luo Yonggang, Deputy Director of the Liaison Office of the Central Government in Hong Kong, pointed out that developing new quality productive forces according to local conditions requires the joint efforts and participation of all sectors in Hong Kong. The China Joint Office fully supports the SAR government in aligning with the national development strategy, and supports all sectors of Hong Kong society to continue to make greater contributions in the process of promoting Chinese path to modernization and better realizing the important mission of "one country, two systems" in the new era. The Secretary for Innovation, Technology and Industry of the Special Administrative Region Government, Sun Dong, stated that the three buildings of the first phase of the Hong Kong Industrial Park in Hetao have been completed, and the construction of the remaining five buildings is being pushed forward at full speed with the development model of "building while moving in". They will be completed gradually in 2027. Currently, nearly 60 companies have signed contracts with the park and are in the process of settling in. More than 300 guests, including renowned entrepreneurs, scientists, scholars from higher research institutions, and executives of listed companies, were invited to attend this summit forum. Zheng Xiangling, President of the Hong Kong Chinese Friendship Association, delivered a speech expressing her hope to promote cross-border cooperation through the forum, find the intersection of win-win cooperation, and continue to uphold the purpose of "building Hong Kong, contributing to the country, and connecting overseas", and continue to build a high-level interactive platform. Chen Jiaqi, CEO of Hong Kong Investment Management Limited, said that the company actively builds overseas platforms to help enterprises go global. Among the invested projects, multiple companies have achieved listing in Hong Kong, and more than 10 companies have submitted or plan to submit applications for listing in Hong Kong this year. The President of the University of Hong Kong, Zhang Xiang, pointed out that technological development must focus on innovation at the forefront. The University of Hong Kong supports the construction of the Hong Kong International Science Innovation Center by bringing together top talents in the world, establishing State Key Laboratory, promoting interdisciplinary research and other models. During the summit, the Hong Kong Chinese Association announced the establishment of the "International Healthcare Investment Transformation Association", focusing on fields such as healthcare, health, life sciences, and digital healthcare.
