The 2025 National Conference on the Promotion of Science Education in Primary and Secondary Schools and the National Conference on the Construction of Science Education Experimental Zones and Schools in Primary and Secondary Schools were held in Beijing on the 15th. Wang Jiayi, a member of the Party Group, Vice Minister, and Governor General of the Ministry of Education, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. The meeting emphasized the need to further enhance the sense of urgency in doing a good job in science education in primary and secondary schools, adhere to problem oriented and systematic thinking, always maintain a clear mind, shoulder the responsibility of the times, and grasp the direction of efforts. The meeting requires that all regions and departments should further enhance their proactive spirit and strategic thinking, promote the key tasks of science education in primary and secondary schools with high quality, make full efforts in the construction of science education resources, the reform of education methods, and the strengthening of social coordination, and strive to create a new situation for the development of science education in primary and secondary schools. We should actively promote the deep integration of artificial intelligence and education. As the "reform highland", the national primary and secondary school science education experimental zones and schools should accelerate their development, explore mechanism reform and innovation, develop radiation high-quality resources, and promote policy implementation and effectiveness. Before the meeting, attendees visited the Science Education Work Exchange Exhibition and the Beijing Jingshan School Student Growth Community. At the meeting, Shanghai Municipal Commission of Education, Peking University, Dongcheng District Government of Beijing, Chongqing Municipal Committee of Juvenile Work, Hunan Provincial Geological Museum, the Second Primary School of Shuicheng District, Liupanshui City, Guizhou Province, made speeches, and the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the China Association for Science and Technology made work exchanges. Members of the mechanism for science education in primary and secondary schools, officials from the Beijing Municipal Government, provincial education administrative departments, and relevant departments of the Ministry of Education attended the meeting.
