The China International Forum on Basic Education was held in Shanghai from the 13th to the 14th. Nearly 70 leading talents, well-known experts and scholars in the fields of education and artificial intelligence from 13 countries around the world discussed the path of educational innovation around the theme of "Development of Artificial Intelligence and Reform of Education and Teaching - Opportunities and Challenges", and gathered global wisdom for the high-quality development of education. The forum released the "Proposal for Utilizing Artificial Intelligence to Support Education Reform", proposing six action directions: firstly, actively seeking change and deepening technological empowerment; Secondly, universal sharing and safeguarding educational equity; Thirdly, empowering with wisdom to enhance governance efficiency; The fourth is to unite forces and fulfill the mission of educating people; Fifth, establish a solid bottom line and standardize the application of ethics; Sixth, open cooperation to jointly promote global development. During the conference, five parallel sub forums will be held, focusing on topics such as artificial intelligence technology supporting educational equity, promoting teaching and learning reform, supporting school management, supporting educational evaluation, and empowering teacher development. The forums will explore the practical paths and innovative achievements of AI empowering various fields of basic education. The forum is jointly hosted by the Chinese Society of Education, Beijing Foreign Studies University, Shanghai Normal University, and the People's Government of Jiading District, Shanghai.
