Recently, the China Performance Industry Association, together with the China Rural Development Foundation and other units, officially released the "Guidelines for Public Welfare Actions of Performing Arts Institutions" group standard (T/ZGYC 010-2025) (hereinafter referred to as the "Guidelines") in Beijing. This is the first systematic and guiding behavior guide in China's performing arts industry that focuses on public welfare actions, aiming to guide and regulate the public welfare activities of various performing arts institutions such as performance groups, performance agencies, online performance agencies, and their contracted artists and anchors. Currently, the participation of China's performing arts industry in public welfare practices is becoming increasingly widespread, but it also faces many practical challenges in the process of rapid development. The Guidelines point out that performing arts public welfare should adhere to four overall principles: public welfare, professionalism, openness and transparency, and risk isolation. Among them, "risk isolation" refers to the moderate isolation of public welfare brands led by institutions from the personal image of artists, the establishment of risk buffering mechanisms, and the guarantee of the independence and sustainability of public welfare projects. The Guidelines cover nine major areas of public welfare actions, including cultural services for the benefit of the people, rural cultural revitalization, art popularization and education, public welfare promotion and advocacy, public welfare live streaming, emergency public welfare response, international cultural public welfare exchanges, public welfare donations, and selection of cooperative partners. Among them, for new formats such as "public welfare live streaming", the "Guidelines" clearly define behavioral red lines. The group standard of the "Guidelines for Public Welfare Actions of Performing Arts Institutions" will be officially implemented on March 10, 2026. (New Society)
